Ugly shoe of the week: Camper 'ballet' shoes

How these atrocities by Camper came to be known as 'ballet flats' I have no idea. Ballet shoes connote daintyness and poise, a certain elegance of movement. Big, red, lumpy clog type monsters are not what spring to mind when I think of ballet shoes.

They're even worse close up too, as when you zoom in close you realise that they're actually knitted.

Why? I cannot think of a single occasion that calls for lumpy woolly clog monster shoes, not one. These are worse than Crocs, these are the bastard child of Crocs, Crocs that your granny knitted a tea cosy for. Even more hilariously, they also come in an open toed sandal version, in a lovely orange and green knit.

I honestly don't think I've seen a worse looking pair of shoes, I can't even find one redeeming quality. But if you think I am insane, and these are the most gorgeous thing ever, you can buy them here at Yoox for the princely sum of £32.
